Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore La Castella
The small, very old vineyard that produces this Barbera d’Alba is located near the Barolo area in the Municipality of Monchiero, about 5 km from the winery. The wine ages for about 1 year in wood and about 6 months in bottle before being released to the market.
It is a persuasive wine, with great body and harmony, with spicy and complex aromas, the full expression of a strong and generous land. It wonderfully accompanies traditional Piedmontese dishes, enhancing risottos, roasts, boiled meats, braised meats and game.
Deep purple red in color; on the nose ripe fruit and spices; warm, vigorous and persistent on the palate.
